Les Ross's Daytripper - A Successful Mainline Comeback

86259 - "Les Ross" successfully completed its first mainline passenger run in preservation yesterday. The "Les Ross's Daytripper" to Liverpool and then the turning movement to Preston, Crewe and return to Liverpool were enjoyed by the many passenger onboard. The train, complete with psychedelic headboard, kept time through most of its planned route.

86259 backs onto 47773 in Crewe Station 08/02/08 for the return journey to Nuneaton.

Hornby To Release E3137 / 86 259 OO Model

TOPS Numbers have been added to the exterior of the loco in readiness for its first mainline test run. The original cast aluminium numbers are still to be added.
